Iranian Biomedical Journal

Peer Review Process

The Iranian Biomedical Journal (IBJ) follows a rigorous and fair double-anonymized peer-review process. Manuscripts are initially assessed by the Editorial Office for scope, originality, ethics, and methodological quality. Suitable manuscripts are then evaluated by independent experts, and the final decision is made by the Editor based on the scientific merit of the work and reviewers’ recommendations.

Peer Review Process

     1. Initial Editorial Assessment
All submitted manuscripts are screened for journal scope, originality, ethical compliance, and methodological quality.

2. Peer Review
Manuscripts meeting the initial requirements are evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field.

3. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ comments and the scientific merit of the manuscript, the Editor makes the final decision.

4. Revision and Final Evaluation
When revision is requested, authors are invited to address the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may undergo further evaluation before a final decision. IBJ is committed to a rigorous, fair, timely, and constructive peer-review process that maintains the highest standards of scientific integrity.
